I dont know if this is the right place for this but, im wondering how everyone feels about voodoo, hoodoo, and witchcraft? Is it ok to do these things to people who deserve it? What do you do when your at the end of your rope and all else fails ?

Voodoo,Witchcraft, and Christianity It is all the same. It is a way for people to focus their internal energy to what they want. It is not the faith that heals people. It is the belief behind the faith!

Well, the cosmic balance is brought into question at this point. Most pagans believe in the Rule of Three.
Basically, anything that you do is brought back upon you threefold. It's karma, for the most part. The universe has ways of balancing things out in the end.
Vodun (voodoo or hoodoo) also brings forth the idea that you are accountable for your own actions.
The question is not, "Is it right for me to punish those who deserve it?" The question is, "Am I prepared to take the reprucutions for what I do to them?"
I am not incredibly knowledgeable about Vodun, but I know in paganism the only time it is acceptable for a person to cause harm to anyone else is if it is an act of self-defense, and if I want to take this a step further. (Which I will... because that's what I do.)
One must consider their civic duties on top of this. As an American, even as a witch, is it right to take the law into our own hands? Of course, this falls into another argument all together. Really what it falls down to is taking responcibility for anything you might do.

The word "voodoo" comes from the West African word "vodun," meaning spirit. From what little knowledge I have of it I do know that it began with the combining of several ethnic beliefs. Witchcraft... well I have a bit of knowledge because of a few Pagan friends. Personally I believe that what goes around comes around... I try to be peaceable with all, I mind my own business and so on... but sometimes for some people it may not be that easy. I am spiritual but I do not practice organized religion. I believe there is one God whom we call many names. I also believe that as long as we aren't hurting one another in our beliefs we should have the freedom to practice what we believe. Whew!!! I am getting long winded saying nothing... To the initial question... you have to follow your own path in that, because we all choose our own paths and suffer the consequences for what we do...

The romanians believed you could put the evil eye on someone. Just be looking at them and cursing them outloud. Was it the eye or the persons belief that they were indeed cursed. that made bad things happen to them. I think most of it is in the mind of the beholder. Ippty bippty boo!
