Hi all & I'm so happy to be here! I have many experiences that have happened within my home that my husband & I purchased 2 years ago. The home was built in 1880 and well...this is just one of the experiences.
This picture was taken on the day that my husband & I found out our 2 yr. old little boy was going to have to have open heart surgery to correct a large hole in his heart. That evening as I was standing at the stove cooking his favorite soup, I had my back to Tommy (our 2 year old) so he couldn't see me cry. I was just standing there stirring the soup when I heard this "click" & noticed all the soup was all over the stove. Now I've had this pan for years & years, and I never cook on high heat with glass pans, food scorches & doesn't get thoroughly cooked. I picked up the pan & cleaned up the stove because no one likes to hear a hungry 2 year old on the war-path. Once I cooked Tommy another can of soup in another glass pot I had, I noticed what happened to the broken pan & took these pics.
~I thought at first this was a sign that everything would be fine. But now when I look back, I wonder if it was a sign of things yet to come. On Jan. 1st, my husband (39 yrs. old) had to have a pace-maker put in. Long story short, he was in the hospital for the better part of January. Tommy had his heart surgery January 25th (all went beautifully), and about 3 weeks ago, I found out that I have a hole in my heart (no biggie at all, I'm seen by a great Cardiologist). I just wanted to share this with you all to see what your thoughts may be on it. I have many more pics & experiences to share that have happened here in the home, can't wait to do so!! Thank you for taking the time to look at the pics.
