In several of my Blogging Places I have written how I do not practice organized religion but I am in fact spiritual and have very strong convictions in these areas... However one such reason that I believe in this manner is the confusion or controversy of what is real and what isn't or what is evil and what is good. I am by no means trying to imply that I have answers but I do as we all do have an opinion.
I was brought up in a strict protestant christian home where the topic of ghosts was not allowed to be mentioned and heaven forbid you tell anyone you heard voices. And if it were not a godly vision as with the saints you then too were not to speak of it.
But I am confused... The scriptures say that God is a Spirit and if we worship him we must worship him with our spirit, that then saying we are separate from our own spirits. The Catholic beliefs are that you go through purgatory before entering heaven so then what is there in between. I feel that if we were to combine the knowledge that we have and be more receptive the veil between the afterlife and the living would be lifted tremendously. Not every spirit we encounter is a demon or an angel as it is spoken to us that it should be. I don't wish to be caught up in controversy only to seek out those spirits which remain in search of something we have yet to realize.
