What is Karma? I was recently approached and told that someone said I was boo hooing and crying and that I should get over it because my bad Karma was causing my problems... LOL Well as always I went into research of what Karma is... First let me say this... I have not lied to anyone, I wish well to even my enemies, as I was always brought up to tell the truth and to be fair to others... I conveyed some information which as I thought was not supposed to be "Private" and also thought to be the truth, if the person which approached me and told me does not remember what they said or intended to keep in secret then that is the way it should have been told... The fact of the matter is I am not having any problems... I am a firm believer in you reap what you sow and what goes around comes around so with that said this is what I found out about "Karma" Thanks for listening to my jabber!
Karma is a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. The results or "fruits" of actions are called karma-phala. Karma is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward; karma simply deals with what is. The effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well. It is cumulative Actions do not create karma (good or bad) when performed by an individual in the state of Moksha or liberation
[Hindus believe that everything in the Universe is in a state of creation, maintenance or destruction. Similarly, the mind creates a thought, maintains (follows) it for some time and the thought ultimately dies down (perhaps to be replaced by another thought). In addition to the three states of consciousness, Hinduism puts forward a fourth state of being called Turiya or pure consciousness, where the mind is not engaged in thinking but just observes the thoughts. Actions in the Turiya state do not create karma. Meditation is a practice aimed at giving individuals the experience of being in this objective state. An individual who is constantly in the turiya state is said to have attained moksha where their actions happen as a response to events (and not because of thought process); such actions do not result in accumulation of karma as they have no karmic effect
Karma is not punishment or retribution, but simply an extended expression or consequences, of natural acts. The effects experienced are also able to be mitigated by actions and are not necessarily fated. That is to say, a particular action now is not binding to some particular, pre-determined future experience or reaction; it is not a simple, one-to-one correspondence of reward or punishment.
There is so much more on Karma and maybe before making judgement based on this it should be studied and understood!

Hi Mom, just dropping by your board to say hi! I was interested in the Karma thing when I saw it. I wouldn't let other people bother me if I were you, they don't even know you. I won't trash up your board with all this. I love the thing on Karma though it is real interesting.

Well, very interesting!! Some people think some magical giant monster is going around and inflicting torement and pain on people that have done others wrong. Not true! Karma is not some magical element. Karma for those well educated people means ... If you go around and talk shit about others and try to make them look bad..it will make you look envious, jealous, and ugly so, it comes back to you!!! If you show someone's private messages and emails... it makes you look untrustworthy to others. If someone showed me a message that someone wrote to them personaly, You can be damn sure i would never trust them enough to even say anything to them or even pm them. If you go on a message board and post shit and say i have info i might be using on others down the road.. you look like a blackmailing psychopath and i would never ever trust you. This is karma. Actions bring on karma!!! People perceive you by how you present yourself. Get it ? It's like going around town talking shit and being hateful and then applying for a job in counseling...think your going to get it? Lol! I dont think so!! Karma is not magic it's every action has a reaction. Plus if i did terriable things to people i wouldn't be able to look in the mirror at the reflection. got it???

Steph, it sounds as though you have some experience that has made you quite unsettled. I too have had some things in my life that have left me with a bad taste... but on the topic of Karma, Bad Spirits, forgiveness and unforgiveness I was taught that Hate breeds Contemp, Jealousy breeds hate, and that love brings contentment and peace within ones self. Although as I have said before I do not practice organized religion I do however meditate and pray daily and find peace within myself to bypass the ugly in this world. My personal thoughts are that the worst thing in the world happened to my family when I lost my son in death so what worse can life throw... The rest is chump change....

I was thinking about Karma today it goes both ways. If you treat people kind it will come back on you. If you live life right, when people talk bad about you...no one will believe it! Ive had problems in the past with certain people but, it doesn't matter anymore. I have gotten so far in my life. I have everything i ever hoped for. If these people were still in my life i would of never achieved these things. So i guess i owe them a thanks. There is nothing they can do to me to hurt me more than i have been hurt over losing my son and brotherinlaws. I think we need to be more supportive of people when they are going through a rough time in their lives not attack them over petty things.

That is a really good attitude to have Steph... There is no better teacher then life and we draw things to us by association. Many times in my life I have had to walk away from situations without a fight in order to preserve my sanity and total well being. As far as Karma goes it is the same in Christian teaching that you are in effect to "pray blessings upon your enemies because by doing so you cause God to deal with them" and it erases you from the issue. Paul the prophet in the New Testament wrote... ‘if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.’
Booker T. Washington wrote as he lived through predjudice and hatred..... “I will not let any man make me lower myself by hating him.”
So as I said in my recent post on "People" If they are talking about me they are leaving someone else alone. The fact that you have grown, endured the pain of loss and moved forward says much about you as an individual. Don't let the ignorence of hate and contempt bring you to a halt just move forward and feel sorry for the fact they cannot....
Karma is nothing more then what we radiate to ourselves and what other people see of us... Some time back I could see a person I met with a red aura... at first I thought it to be a very deep pink but as I looked at them in increased in color... a red aura means surpressed anger and hot tempered. Basically a very unhappy person. An aura is what we create with our energy, what kind of Karma we dwell with... So my friend be content that you have moved forward, laugh alot and smile even when nobody hears or sees...

I believe the same as you member's do. If you are a nice person you dont need to be worrying about karma. People are dangerous. A little bit of anger jealousy and hate brought on alot of students deaths in virginia. It is easy to say walk away but hard when the other people wont.

I agree with all of you. You cant argue with cRAzEy PeOPlE. The best way to win the battle is not be in it! I learned these things after falling on my old behind and getting bitten on the buttdinski many times. If i would of known then what i know now...It would of saved me years!!

Yes Steph... I do see Aura... uncanny because for a long time I had no idea what it was. I think I kind of thought it was something everyone did. Until I met a person that instead of radiating color they had a very dark almost black mist about them... then I began to ask questions... I was about 13 at the time.

so what your feeling when your around someone and you get that creeped out feeling...would that be feeling one's aura? A long time ago i met this women and she kept trying to be friends with me. I had this feeling that i just didn't care for her. I dont know why, i just didn't wanna be around her. I wonder if that is feeling an aura or picking up a vibe? Kind of like walking passed a stranger and getting an uneasy feeling.
