Im wondering what happens when you mix alcohol and Drugs with ghost hunting? I would figure you would have to be level headed wouldn't you? Otherwise how would you be able to trust what you have captured creditable. No proper investigation would be condsidered to be scientific if it isn't done with a sound mind. There was a post on a different board so, i thought id bring it up here to see what your group thinks? Also if people are on medication like, antidepressants.. Can you still receive spirits? Or is your body numb to them?~Stephanie

We recently conferred with a few groups on this topic and alcohol and drugs is a big No No when Hunting Spirits. Clarity of mind is important ! Impaired judgement leads to impaired results and misinformation. Instead of absolutely knowing what you saw, felt or heard you could only assume that it happened. The same is true for reviewing EVP's. With background noise against you to begin with alcohol or drugs involved you just may hear something that isn't really there. As far as antidepressants is concerned they aren't in the category of mood altering drugs. They are usually taken over a period of time and have never caused problems in perception. This though is a very good topic.

Why would anyone drink with ghost investigating? If i sat an kicked back a few, i'd be seeing things too. Kind of unprofessional if you did. I wouldn't want anyone drunk in my home i didn't know. If i know them i guess it would be ok but, i sure wouldn't take them seriously.
